Gabby, Class of 2016

Gabby is such a gorgeous girl! I loved that she brought her A-game to her session, from wardrobe to attitude to that gorgeous hair! Gah! Great things are in store for this stunning Senior!evansville-indiana-senior-photographer-_0062

Cade, Class of 2016

I LOVE shooting High School Seniors and I don’t get to do nearly enough of this kind of photography! I love how young and hopeful this age of teen is and it totally rubs off on me when I am around them! So help a girl out and book a Senior session so that I can feel like a teen again, haha!

Kendall, Class of 2016

I’m a lucky girl to have gotten to know this beauty! Kendall has the kindest heart and is so helpful and good, but she also has a little bit of sassiness that rounds out her personality to perfection! I know her future will be full of love, laughter, family, and happiness! Congratulations, Kendall!

Jordan, Norco High School Class of 2016

I’m pretty sure that Jordan is one of the coolest High School Seniors I have had the opportunity to work with! I know his mom and grandma agree with me at least, lol! And they are both so proud of him and his acceptance to the University of Arizona! Congratulations, Jordan! evansville-indiana-senior-photography-2evansville-indiana-senior-photography-4evansville-indiana-senior-photography-5evansville-indiana-senior-photography-7evansville-indiana-senior-photography-8evansville-indiana-senior-photography-11evansville-indiana-senior-photography-16evansville-indiana-senior-photography-17

Kenadee Class of 2015: La Jolla Senior Portraits

Kenadee and her family are from Washington and came to La Jolla for their family vacation. Last minute they decided to have me photograph her senior portraits and I’m so glad they did because Kenadee was so much fun to work with! We took some time around the shopping district on Prospect Street for the first part of her session and then finished up on the beach. I feel like Kenadee’s collection really captures her beauty, her sense of humor, and her artistic side as well. A total win! san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0001san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0002san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0003san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0004san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0005san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0006san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0007san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0008san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0009san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0010san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0011san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0012san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0013san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0014san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0015san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0016san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0017san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0018san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0019san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0020san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0021san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0022san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0023san_diego_high_school_senior_portrait_photographer_beach0024

Matilda: Class of 2014

The thing that I love most about high school senior portrait photography is the fact that I get to hang out with these amazing young people in an attempt to capture their entire essence in pictures! It is so incredibly inspiring to be around such a young person who is so full of life and hope for the future, who knows exactly who they are at that moment and makes no apologies for it, and who is so excited to conquer the world! Matilda is no exception to this and it was an honor to capture her in her element! I will never forget Matilda’s reaction that her mom relayed to me when I showed them where I wanted to shoot her photos. It made me giggle seeing her mom put in quotations the words “legit” and “freaking awesome.” And once I saw Matilda’s incredible artwork I was so pleased with how her wardrobe styling by the always amazing Cortnie Bigelow, the location, and Matilda’s personality tied right into it. So here is Matilda’s senior portrait collection; a little sweet, a little sassy, a little strong, and totally LEGIT!

Michaela

I think that senior portrait photography has become officially one of my favorite categories of photography to shoot! Any time you get to hand pick your location (and lighting) and combine that with young, energetic, fashionable, and fearless people, you get photos that are sure to please! And that is exactly what I got all wrapped up with a beautiful little bow on top named Michaela. I’m super grateful for her amazing mother, Sarah, who’s attention to detail in wardrobe styling was spot on and for her sweet sister, Emily, who was my right hand woman on this shoot! I don’t think I have had a better time just chit chatting, hanging out, goofing off, and…….oh………….just creating some of my favorite pieces of all time!!! And I’m also grateful for the challenge these ladies put forth to step outside of my comfort zone and try a few new tricks of the trade. I’m pretty happy with the results. What do you think?!
Congratulations to Michaela on her acceptance to BYU! She will be reuniting with her big sister there this summer and I can only imagine the amazing memories they are going to make!
PS — Are you not totally DYING over her gorgeous PROM DRESS?!?!?!?!?!
PPS — I seriously am in love with the last image so much I just had to include it in both color and B&W. Which do you prefer?

Emily: Senior ’11

I think that to say that Emily’s parents are proud of her would be an understatement. She is beautiful, talented, intelligent, athletic, kind and responsible, and is BYU-bound. I have no idea how she sleeps between school, dance, cheer, track, and work. Yikes! Emily has accomplished everything with grace and beauty and I just hope that by spending some time with her, some of her awesomeness will rub off on me!
