Stacy and Andy met with me about a month before their sweet little boy, Lincoln was born so I could photography Stacy’s Maternity photos. And I was the lucky photographer who got to meet their sweet baby and photograph their in-home newborn session! It was amazing!
I always like to take some time to photograph the new baby’s nursery. I remember how much love and thought I put into decorating my own childrens’ nurseries, so I think it’s really important to document that for new moms and dads. Especially for their first-born. Lincoln’s nursery had so many sweet, personal touches, like the hand made quilt on his crib and sea creature artwork above his changing table. Both were made by relatives and I adored those tender personal touches.
When I was finished documenting the nursery, Stacy and Andy brought their little babe into the room and we took some time photographing all of his fingers and toes. My favorite detail to capture is a newborn’s soft, furry little head! Their hair changes so quickly and those first few locks are silky smooth and smell so sweet!
We made sure to capture lots of snuggle time with mommy and daddy, documenting how tiny Lincoln’s little body was in their arms. And then Lincoln had the spotlight all to himself while he snoozed away. He was such a good babe for his photo session! And I was almost as in love with him as his parents are!
