As I was preparing this blog post, it made me think of a gorgeous historic venue called Black Iris Estate. I would be ecstatic to book clients here for some Carmel, Indiana wedding photography! I deeply adore historic architecture and Black Iris Estate checks off all of my timeless, romantic, and luxurious wedding boxes. Today I am sharing one of my all-time favorite weddings because it was so classy, elegant, and completely on par with my brand.
Getting Ready
I started the day out by meeting with Kyle and his friends and family in his hotel room. These men looked so dapper in their classic black tuxedos!
Likewise, Jackie spent the morning in her suite glamming up with her girls. Every moment they shared was punctuated by the strong bond these ladies share.
The First Look
Tucked between large marble columns, Jackie and Daniel laid eyes on each other for the first time that day. They couldn’t have been any happier to see each other and commence their wedding day festivities together.
The Bride and Groom
Jackie and Daniel’s collection of bridal portraits are some of my all time favorites. I just love how beautiful their connection is and how well their style complimented my own and the historical architecture in the area.
The Bridal Party
Nothing is classier than black tie attire. This Bridal Party was the epitome of posh and matched so well with all of the stately backdrops we were working with.
The Ceremony
There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as Jackie’s father led her down the aisle. I was especially smitten with Jackie’s blusher veil. It was so charming when her father lifted it and hugged and kissed his baby girl before giving her away to Kyle. The happy couple exchanged rings and vows and then had a wine ceremony in place of a candle or sand ceremony. It was a wonderfully unique moment during their ceremony.
The Reception
After the wedding ceremony, guests were ushered into an adjoining ballroom where the reception was held. The already awe-inspiring space was embellished with fresh flowers and other sumptuous details. Another unique choice Kyle and Jackie made was to have a cheesecake in place of a traditional wedding cake. The graceful, petite confection was the perfect compliment to the magnificence of the ambience in the ballroom.
Jackie and Kyle celebrated their marriage with their closest friends and family well into the night. From toasts to dances, each moment was treasured and completely photo-worthy.
