There is something so magical about a fall vineyard wedding. I think the juxtaposition of mature grape vines overflowing with ripe fruit and the colorful, rusty shades of trees preparing to drop their leaves before winter creates a spellbinding combination. Mother Nature’s backdrop becomes beautifully dramatic with plenty of texture and color that adds just the perfect touch of charm to any wedding.
Getting Ready
Derek and Meredith’s fall vineyard wedding was, in Mary Poppins’ words, “practically perfect in every way.” The day began at Meredith’s mother’s home, where they and Meredith’s sister primped together. Meredith wanted to keep her morning relaxed and free of distractions, so for her, making sure that it was spent with just her mom and sister was the best choice.
After hair and makeup was finished, Meredith and her mother began getting her dressed. She was surrounded by all the comforts of her childhood home and an abundance of love and light while putting the finishing touches on her wedding day ensemble.
Meredith’s bridesmaids arrived and showered her with the sweetest reactions when seeing her for the first time. Many tears were shed and hugs were shared.
Meanwhile, Derek and his groomsmen were getting ready themselves at a little cottage on sight at their wedding venue. They laughed and joked together and were very eager to make sure Derek had a really fun morning.
The First Look
A shining moment at every wedding is the Bride and Groom’s First Look. Meredith was shaking with anticipation of seeing Derek. When he turned to see his beautiful bride and partner, the look on his face said it all.
After exchanging compliments and kisses, Derek and Meredith quietly read letters they prepared for one another. They relished this time with just the two of them, baring their souls, reminiscing about their past, and sharing their dreams for their future together.
The Bride and Groom
Everything fell into place during Meredith and Derek’s portraits. The light was stunning, the location was superb, and their hearts were on their sleeves. This made my job of photographing this moment in their personal history an absolute joy. I couldn’t have taken a bad photo of them if I tried.
The Bridal Party
The distinct connection between the couple and their Bridal Party was unmistakable. Meredith and Derek chose their closest friends and family members to stand by their sides on their wedding day, and they chose well. Their support group has a long history together which only enhanced their wedding day memories and experiences.
The Ceremony
Unsurprisingly, this wedding ceremony was highly emotionally charged. You could see the pride and joy of Derek and Meredith’s families as they watched these high school sweethearts finally become man and wife. Between vows, speeches, musical numbers, and the sand ceremony, there wasn’t a dry eye in the bunch. The ring exchange and an exuberant first kiss punctuated a very profound wedding ceremony.
The Reception
The new Mr. and Mrs. LeDuc cozied up in the barn for their fall vineyard wedding reception. They dined on scrumptious Italian dishes and artisan cakes. The lustrous glow from the chandeliers overhead created the warmest ambiance for friends and family to celebrate the night away.
This wedding venue reminds me so much of The Sycamore at Mallow Run in Bargersville, IN. The Sycamore offers numerous indoor and outdoor spaces that are embellished with all of the most luxurious amenities any vineyard venue has to offer. If you’re looking for the perfect location to celebrate your wedding, this should be one of your first considerations. And, if you love Derek and Meredith’s fall vineyard wedding photos, make sure to email me! I’d love to photograph your vineyard wedding, no matter what season it’s held in!
