There’s something magical about early mornings at Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach. The crowds are gone, the tide is low, and the towering cliffs create the most beautiful soft light—making it one of my favorite locations for family portraits in Orange County.

By scheduling this session shortly after sunrise, we enjoyed several advantages:

• The beach was nearly empty, giving the family plenty of space to relax and enjoy their session.
• The morning low tide allowed us to safely walk closer to the iconic pirate tower, one of Laguna Beach’s most recognizable landmarks.
• The tall cliffs cast a large shadow across the beach, creating soft, flattering light that photographs beautifully without the harsh midday sun.

The result is timeless, natural family portraits with gorgeous coastal scenery and comfortable lighting that everyone loves.
